I'm a momma to a beautiful little boy. Becoming a mom made me realize how precious these memories are and more importantly how fast time takes them from us. This is where my passion for photography really ignited.

It really is true - our children are only this little once. This is why I decided I want to be able to take those memories and freeze them to turn them into tangible items to look back on forever.

Some of our favorite pass times are going to the zoo (get a membership, trust me when I say it's worth it!), hiking in the most beautiful places, and chasing this wild boy of mine through the great outdoors as he explores his surroundings.

I can't even begin to describe how much my family means to me. As I have said previously; having my son truly ignited my passion for photography. It made me realize how much I love having something tangible to look back on and remember how tiny and precious my baby boy was.

Likewise; my husband has been my absolute rock. I would not have the most amazing studio without him.

My Favorite Things

You know that smell in the morning when you wake up and fresh brewed coffee fills the entire house? When I tell you that I start each and every morning with coffee, I absolutely mean it. But what's better than that, is making coffee and having the most in depth conversations with your partner.

We love waking up in the morning on the weekends and drinking our coffee while our son laughs, plays and eats his breakfast.

Growing up in Colorado has made me the outdoor girl I am today. To me there is nothing better than driving up into the mountains to take in all that fresh mountain air. Sitting by the lake with a fishing pole is something that happens quite frequently.

I look forward to the days where I get to teach my son everything my dad taught me about fishing.

The outdoors

Nursing my daughter was one of the most special times in my life and is why my motherhood session has been my favorite to date. It means the absolute world to me that I have such tender pictures to cherish for the rest of my life.

Melissa was so patient and kind with Olivia and myself. I also felt incredibly comfortable nursing in front of her. She's exceptionally talented and captured our session perfectly!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Melissa! She is everything you want in a photographer: listens to what you want, has a great eye, can make your kids and husband cooperate, and on top of that a wonderful client closet! She also got me my photos back quicker than she said and had a variety of places to recommend for photos. She helped me decide on outfits for the rest of the fam as well!

We loved our maternity pictures so mech that we did newborn as well and are now looking at booking her again for some updated family photos. I highly recommend Melissa! She is wonderful to work with. You won't regret it!
